Beyond the core properties, a Semantic Event provides two powerful dictionary objects—analyse and integrations—that give you fine-grained, dynamic control over how each event is processed and routed by our servers after it's received.
These properties allow you to override default account-level settings on a per-event basis, enabling sophisticated workflows, cost management, and compliance strategies.
The analyse Property
Our platform performs several automated analysis and enrichment tasks on incoming events, such as sentiment analysis, entity linking, and classification. The analyse object acts as a set of switches to control this behavior for a single event.
You can use it to disable a specific analysis that would otherwise run, or to enable one that is disabled by default. The keys in the dictionary correspond to the name of the analysis process.
For example, if you are sending a high volume of low-importance events, you might want to disable costly analysis to save resources:
"analyse": { "sentimentAnalysis": false, "intentDetection": false }
| Property | Description | Provided By |
|---|---|---|
[analysis_name] | A boolean (true or false) flag to enable or disable a specific analysis process. | User-Provided (Optional) |
The integrations Property
The integrations object controls which downstream destinations the event should be forwarded to. This is crucial for managing data flows to various tools like data warehouses, analytics platforms, or marketing automation systems.
By default, an event is sent to all configured integrations. The integrations object allows you to modify this behavior. The keys in the dictionary are the names of your configured integrations.
Excluding a Destination: To prevent an event from being sent to a specific tool, set its key to false.
"integrations": { "Google Analytics": false }
Sending to Only One Destination: To send an event only to a specific destination and nowhere else, set the special property all to false and the desired destination to true.
"integrations": { "all": false, "BigQuery": true }
| Property | Description | Provided By |
|---|---|---|
all | A special boolean property. If false, the event will not be sent to any integration unless explicitly enabled. | User-Provided (Optional) |
[integration_name] | A boolean (true or false) flag to enable or disable forwarding to a specific destination. | User-Provided (Optional) |
